Spend An Evening in the Tropics for Charity

The Megan Cajigas Foundation, a registered 501 c 3 charity founded in Wilmington is hosting the second annual “Evening in the Tropics” fundraiser at the Shriner’s Club on S. College Road, Friday March 27, 2009 from 6-10pm.

The event features music from Wilmington’s premier steel drum band, Pantastic Steel, a Caribbean themed dinner and silent auction with all of the proceeds going to the Megan Cajigas Foundation.  The foundation seeks to aid all young children in their quest for their place in the world by creating a platform to enable them to develop their unique skills and talents.  The foundation awards financial aid to families who could not otherwise afford the expense of pre-school education.

Last year the event raised over $16000 for preschoolers in New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender counties.

Tickets are $35 per person and can be purchased at the door or by calling (910) 799-9424.  For more information regarding The Megan Cajigas Foundation, please call 910-520-4974 or visit our website www.megancajigasfoundation.org.
